Teen Heroes on Bikes Save a Life

What started as a normal afternoon in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, quickly turned into a nightmare when five-year-old Jocelyn Rojas was kidnapped near her home. A stranger had lured her into his car by offering ice cream, and soon, police and neighbors were desperately searching. As time passed, fear grew — but hope was still alive.

Fifteen-year-old Temar Boggs and his friend didn’t wait around. When they heard about Jocelyn’s disappearance, they jumped on their bikes and began searching the area themselves. After riding around for a while, they spotted a suspicious maroon car and noticed a little girl inside who looked scared and confused.

The boys followed the car for nearly fifteen minutes as the driver tried to get away. But the teens refused to give up. Their determination paid off — the kidnapper eventually stopped the car and let Jocelyn out. She immediately ran to Temar and said, “I want my mommy.” It was a moment of pure emotion, relief, and courage.

Jocelyn’s family was overwhelmed with gratitude, calling Temar their hero. The whole town celebrated the bravery of these young boys who didn’t hesitate to help. Although the police are still searching for the suspect, one thing is clear: thanks to the fearless actions of two teenage boys, a little girl is safe today. As Temar later said, “I feel proud I could help” — and he truly showed the world what it means to be a hero.
